The Service is operated by Serhii Hrybkov, an independent developer based in Ukraine ("Setlane", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing Setlane Pro, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Setlane Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
01 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Setlane.
You may use the Service only where permitted by applicable law. If you use Setlane on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
02 The Service
Setlane helps users create workout routines, record workouts and sets, track body weight and progress, use rest timers, and review fitness history. Certain features may require a Setlane Pro subscription or lifetime purchase.
Features may differ by device, operating-system version, country, Google Play availability, and plan. We may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.
Testing, beta, and pre-release versions may contain errors, incomplete features, or interruptions. You should keep an independent copy of information that is important to you.
03 Fitness and medical disclaimer
Setlane is a workout logging and informational tool. It is not a medical device, healthcare provider, personal trainer, emergency service, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You are responsible for deciding whether an exercise, workout, weight, repetition range, or other activity is appropriate for you. Exercise involves inherent risks, including serious injury. Consider consulting a qualified healthcare or fitness professional before beginning or changing an exercise program, especially if you have an injury, medical condition, are pregnant, or have concerns about your health.
Stop exercising and seek appropriate assistance if you experience pain, dizziness, breathing difficulty, or other concerning symptoms. Never disregard professional medical advice because of information displayed in Setlane.
04 Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account, email account, Google account, device, and credentials.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures. Notify us promptly at support@setlane.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not:
- create an account using another person's identity or email without authorization;
- sell, rent, share, or transfer your Setlane account;
- use automated methods to create accounts or abuse the Service;
- attempt to bypass plan limits, access controls, billing verification, or security measures;
- access another user's data or interfere with the Service;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purposes;
- introduce malware or place unreasonable load on the Service.
05 License and intellectual property
Subject to these Terms, Setlane grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use the application for your own lawful, non-commercial use.
Setlane and its software, design, branding, visual elements, and original content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service or its intellectual property to you.
You may not copy, distribute, sell, sublicense, publicly exploit, or create derivative products from the Service except as expressly permitted by law or written permission from us.
06 Your data and content
You retain ownership of workout records, routines, exercise information, body-weight entries, and other content you enter into Setlane.
You authorize us to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that information only as reasonably necessary to operate, synchronize, secure, support, and improve the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Setlane Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information you enter and for maintaining any independent backup you consider necessary.
07 Free and Pro access
Setlane may offer free features and paid Setlane Pro features. Free-plan limits and Pro features are described in the application and may change for future use. We will not intentionally remove paid access for a period that has already been validly purchased, except where required by law, Google Play action, refund, fraud prevention, account deletion, or a material breach of these Terms.
Paid products may include:
- a monthly auto-renewing subscription;
- an annual auto-renewing subscription;
- a one-time Setlane Pro Lifetime purchase.
Current prices, taxes, billing periods, trial availability, renewal terms, and eligible offers are displayed by Google Play before you confirm a purchase. Information displayed by Google Play at checkout controls if it conflicts with a general description in Setlane.
08 Subscriptions and trials
Subscriptions are purchased and administered through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's applicable terms.
Unless you cancel, an auto-renewing subscription renews for the period and price shown by Google Play. Google Play charges the payment method associated with your Google account. You can manage or cancel a subscription through Google Play. Deleting the Setlane app does not by itself cancel a subscription.
If a free or discounted trial is offered:
- eligibility and duration are determined and displayed by Google Play;
- the subscription converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the renewal time shown by Google Play;
- promotional availability may differ between users and may be limited to eligible accounts.
Setlane does not currently support changing directly between the monthly and annual base plans while an existing Setlane subscription remains active. To use a different plan, cancel the current subscription, retain access until its paid period ends, and then purchase the other plan when Google Play makes it available.
Cancellation stops future renewal but does not normally end access before the current paid period expires, unless Google Play states otherwise.
09 Lifetime purchase
Setlane Pro Lifetime is a one-time Google Play product that provides Pro access for the operating lifetime of the Service through the specific Setlane account on which the purchase is validly claimed.
"Lifetime" does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser or guarantee that the Service will exist forever. It does not include separately identified products or services that may be introduced in the future.
A lifetime purchase is personal, non-transferable, and bound to both the Google Play purchase and the Setlane account used to claim it.
Deleting that Setlane account permanently removes the associated lifetime entitlement. The purchase cannot be transferred to or restored on a newly created Setlane account, even if the same Google account is used.
10 Purchase verification and restoration
Setlane verifies purchases with Google Play before granting or maintaining Pro access. We may refuse or revoke access when a purchase is invalid, refunded, revoked, cancelled after its access period, associated with a different Setlane account, or cannot be verified.
The Restore feature is intended to restore a valid Google Play purchase to the same Setlane account to which it was originally linked. It does not transfer purchases between Setlane accounts.
Purchase status may take time to update because of payment processing, network conditions, or Google Play notification delays.
11 Refunds
Purchases are processed by Google Play. Refund eligibility and refund processing are generally governed by Google Play's policies and applicable consumer law. Setlane does not control Google's payment systems.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory refund, cancellation, warranty, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
12 Account deletion
You may permanently delete your account inside the app through:
Settings → Account → Delete account
You may also request deletion through setlane.app/delete-account.
Deletion is irreversible and removes the account and associated data from active Setlane systems. It also removes access to purchases tied to that Setlane account, including Setlane Pro Lifetime.
During in-app deletion, Setlane attempts to cancel an active auto-renewing Google Play subscription. Because cancellation depends on Google Play availability and purchase verification, you remain responsible for confirming the subscription status in Google Play. If cancellation cannot be confirmed, the app warns you to check Google Play Subscriptions.

13 Suspension and termination
You may stop using Setlane at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to:
- protect users, purchases, data, or Service security;
- investigate fraud or unauthorized access;
- comply with law or a valid platform requirement;
- respond to a serious or repeated breach of these Terms;
- discontinue the Service.
Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Termination does not create a right to a refund except where required by Google Play policy or applicable law.
14 Third-party services
Setlane depends on third-party services, including Google Play and Supabase. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for an interruption or decision made solely by a third-party provider, but this does not limit obligations that applicable law places directly on us.
15 Availability, changes, and data loss
We aim to keep Setlane available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent operation. Maintenance, outages, device restrictions, network failure, third-party failure, or events outside our reasonable control may affect the Service.
Offline features reduce but do not eliminate the risk of failed synchronization or data loss. You should review synchronization warnings and keep exports or other backups when information is important to you.
We may update the application or require a supported version for security, compatibility, billing, or operational reasons.
16 Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties to the extent they may legally be disclaimed, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee particular fitness, health, strength, weight, or training outcomes.
These disclaimers do not affect mandatory rights or warranties that apply to you under consumer law.
17 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Setlane and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, opportunity, goodwill, or data arising from use of the Service.
For paid use, our total liability relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for Setlane during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
18 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, Google Play requirements, or business practices. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
If a material change adversely affects an active paid service, we will provide notice where reasonably possible. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
19 Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If mandatory consumer law in your country gives you additional protections or the right to bring a claim in your local courts, those rights remain unaffected.
Before bringing a formal claim, please contact support@setlane.app so that we can try to resolve the issue informally.
20 General terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms or your account without our permission. We may transfer these Terms as part of a lawful transfer of the Service.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the purchase information shown by Google Play, form the agreement between you and Setlane concerning the Service.
